Thanks for the comments as below. I have finished an article on Passivhaus. Any feedback would be appreciated. I am also looking at adding other articles on the subject matter, with in depth technical guide to implementing this within homes.

Joseph,
I would propose that Passivhaus is not a "technique", rather it is a quality assurance standard for energy efficient buildings. This is to my mind an important distinction.
The correct design techniques need to be in place in order to allow construction to achieve the requisite airtightness i.e. it it not for the contractor to do alone. The exact solution will be dependent upon the construction technology being used - currently i have not found any British guidance publications that deal with airtightness in an appropriate manner. Though some products by manufacturers such as Pro-Clima and Siga are increasingly available. HTH.

Hi, i am carrying out research on the Passivhaus technique, and i intend to publish my findings on the site http://www.energy-measures.com. If anyone has any information on the practical issues in achieving passivhaus standard this would be appreciated, particularly with regard to minimising air leakage. Thanks

Hello All, 'Just joined the network. I will be taking eco-refurbishers' course with the Green Register in December.
Has anyone already attended this course and has this helped your business into a new sector? If not, I will drop comments after attending FYI. Best of luck in what's left of 2010 and here's hoping 2011 isn't as bad as many fear!

Hello people,

Im currently on my placement but I want to consider my dissertation ideas now so that im a step ahead come september next year... and could potentially have the majority of my draft written up. As I am interested in passivhaus and sustainability in general, are there any aspects which you consider may have flaws in it or require further research to justify its use in the current climate?
