As the political language becomes more inflammatory and unhelpful e.g. Chris Bryant’s reference to “Social Cleansing” (I predict some housing welfare policy compromises are round the corner) it emphasises the importance of developing some robust innovative ideas in partnership between private and public sectors. Willmott Dixon have produced a paper on ways in which the construction industry can play its part in tackling the “efficiency agenda” e.g. improvements to procurement efficiency, including the introduction of standard processes such as bid documentation and improved leadership through the new “efficiency and reform group”.
